The Rev. Dr. Denny Burnette

Denny has been the Senior Minister of Louisa Christian Church since October 2001. He comes from Charlottesville, VA where he had been teaching at Tandem Friends School and was also ministering to a small congregation in Rapidan. Prior to that, he served as School Chaplain at St. Anne's-Barfield School in Charlottesville.

Denny was born and reared in Martinsville, VA. He recieved a B.A. Degree in English from VMI in 1971, a Master's Degree in Religious Studies from the University of Virginia, a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Union Theological Seminary in 1976. Denny is married to Patricia and he has two sons, Tom and John.

In the time since Denny's arrival, the church has grown and become better in many ways. Denny makes members and visitors of the church feel welcome and loved. Everyone appreciates and anticipates Denny's continued ministry at Louisa Christian Church.

Denny leads two Bible Studies, one on Wednesday morning from 10:30-11:30, the other on Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30. Stop by and join a Bible study for a fresh view on the Bible and faith.
